ProDiscoverer is headed to PUG Challenge — Boston and Valencia!
We’re excited to announce that ProDiscoverer will be in full force at PUG Challenge 2025 — both in Boston (28 Sept – 1 Oct) and Valencia (5–7 Nov). This marks another step forward in our commitment to the OpenEdge community: showing up, engaging, and demonstrating what ProDiscoverer brings to the enterprise application operations space.
Why PUG Challenge matters
PUG Challenge is the premier conference for the Progress / OpenEdge ecosystem — a gathering of developers, operations engineers, architects, and decision-makers who live and breathe this stack. Over 60 breakout sessions, hands-on workshops, and deep technical tracks will run in each location, enriched by real-world use cases, best practices, and the latest innovation in OpenEdge development and deployment.
For ProDiscoverer, PUG Challenge is more than a marketing opportunity — it’s a chance to connect with power users, listen to real pain points, and show how our toolset integrates into the OpenEdge operations lifecycle.
What is ProDiscoverer
ProDiscoverer is a tool suite designed to monitor, control, and troubleshoot OpenEdge / PASOE Web applications. Its core modules include:
-
Control Center — a browser-based dashboard for tracking performance, resource usage, alerts, and sessions.
-
Monitor (free version) — gives users a lightweight entry point into observing PASOE metrics without full overhead.
-
Lab (developer add-on) — built to assist developers with performance tuning, diagnostics, and deeper introspection of application behavior under load.
From automating session cleanups to probing MS Agent memory leaks and enabling performance profiling, ProDiscoverer empowers teams to reduce downtime, accelerate troubleshooting, and keep OpenEdge applications stable under pressure.
The tool was developed by Artūras Pocius, a seasoned Full Stack / DevOps and OpenEdge specialist with decades of hands-on experience. Global distribution and support is handled by appSolutions ApS, allowing us to reach customers across geographies while maintaining deep OpenEdge domain alignment.
What to expect from ProDiscoverer at the events
At both PUG locations, ProDiscoverer will:
-
Host demo stations — hands-on walkthroughs of Control Center, Lab, and integration workflows
-
Engage in networking sessions — meet with OpenEdge users, architects and operators to understand needs and collect feedback
-
Present technical sessions— diving into performance diagnostics, containerization strategies, and how ProDiscoverer can fit into modern DevOps toolchains
-
Share success stories — real customer testimonies already show the impact: one client reported bringing their restart times from “up to a few hours” down to seconds with ProDiscoverer in place. We aim not just to show what ProDiscoverer is, but to illustrate where it can go — how metrics, automation, alerting, and intelligent diagnostics can lift operational confidence in OpenEdge apps.
